General Description of the Organization:


Orange is a non-governmental civil society organization devoted to alleviating the suffering and improving the sustainability mechanisms of the conflict-affected population. Since its establishment, Orange has partnered directly with affected Syrian populations, delivering programs spanning sectors, including humanitarian and development programs in the Early Recovery and Livelihoods, Food Security and agriculture, Education and Protection, WASH, and Shelter, in addition to long-term impact interventions focusing on the economic empowerment and the local value chains improvements to enable targeted communities to improve their living practices and their sustainable mechanisms. Orange collaborates with various national and international non-governmental organizations, as well as local initiatives, to adopt a community-based approach that improves the response’s impact on the humanitarian crisis and provides sustainable and alternative solutions.


Job Purpose:

 

The WASH & Shelter site Engineer is responsible for Monitor and follow-up the implementation of installation Solar system , High water tank, and establish the infrastructure, praparing studies.

.

Duties, objectives, and competencies:

 

·        Prepare BOQs and technical documents before implementation to ensure feasibility and accuracy of inputs required (in terms of quality and quantities) in coordination with the Projects Manager

·        Conducting weekly/Daily visits to WASH & Shelter program sites in coordination with partners and collecting all technical notices about the quality of implementation.

·        Prepare Daily and Weekly reports on WASH & Shelter programming progress, documenting any challenges or delays in work plans. 

·        Lead the technical needs assessment regarding WASH & Shelter for new projects and monitor market price changes. 

·        Ensure the technical quality of program implementation, per project work plans and objectives and in line with international humanitarian (WHO) standards. 

·        Assist the M&E team and provide technical support required for monitoring activities related to WASH & Shelter projects with partners.

·        Flexibility in schedules and tasks is expected from the employee.

·        Other tasks at the request of the line manager

 

Requirements:

·        Bachelor's degree in Engineering degree (civil, architecture,...), or a related field.

·        At least 3 years of relevant experience with an NGO or INGO, preferably in engineering works.

·        Strong communication skills, including the ability to coordinate with multiple parties and external stakeholders

·        Good understanding writing reporting processes.

·        Good English and fluency in Arabic language skills (spoken and written).

·        Experience of training and capacity building

·        Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work well in a team environment.

Strong computer literacy, especially in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, AutoCAD.
