Job Purpose:

The purpose of this position is to lead the mobile Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) team within the mobile mental health clinic, ensuring the provision of integrated, safe, and high-quality mental health and psychosocial support services to the targeted populations in the areas of intervention.

The Team Leader will be responsible for directly supervising the work of team members, including psychologists, psychosocial workers/supporters, doctors, and case managers, while ensuring effective coordination among them during the delivery of field services. The role also includes providing technical and supervisory support to the team, organizing beneficiaries’ files, following up on intervention plans, and coordinating internal and external referral pathways according to identified needs and available services.

The position also involves monitoring the quality of services provided through the mobile clinic, ensuring adherence to relevant protocols and ethical and professional standards, preparing and submitting periodic reports, and maintaining continuous coordination with the Center Manager or the relevant management regarding administrative, organizational, and logistical aspects related to the work of the mobile team.

 


Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with the psychiatrist, mhGAP doctor, and psychologist to provide technical and administrative supervision and continuous follow-up for members of the mobile MHPSS team through individual and group supervision sessions, as needed.

2· Provide technical support to psychologists and psychosocial workers/supporters when working with cases, particularly severe or complex cases, to ensure the provision of appropriate and safe interventions in line with approved protocols.

3· Collect and review the required regular quantitative and qualitative reports from team members, including reports submitted by psychologists and psychosocial workers/supporters, and prepare a consolidated final team report.

4·  Ensure that members of the mobile clinic team adhere to working hours, field visit plans, and assigned duties and responsibilities efficiently and within the required timeframe.

5·  Organize the monthly and quarterly planning process for the mobile team’s activities, including psychosocial support services, group support sessions, awareness-raising activities, advocacy campaigns, and field outreach visits.

6·  Follow up on the implementation of the mobile team’s plans and activities by reviewing plans, schedules, results, implementation mechanisms, and periodic and final reports, while providing the necessary technical guidance to ensure the quality of services provided.

7· Ensure effective internal coordination among team members and external coordination with other service providers to activate the referral system and facilitate beneficiaries’ access to appropriate services according to their needs.

8· Coordinate and follow up on internal and external referral pathways for cases requiring specialized or additional services, while ensuring proper documentation and follow-up of referrals in accordance with approved procedures.

9· Participate in facilitating and coordinating the requirements of training courses and capacity-building activities for the MHPSS team and contribute to identifying the team’s training needs.

10· Ensure the team’s adherence to ethical and professional standards, including confidentiality, informed consent, non-discrimination, respect for beneficiaries’ dignity, and the principle of “do no harm.”

11· Coordinate with the Center Manager or relevant management regarding the administrative, organizational, and logistical aspects related to the work of the mobile clinic, to ensure organized and effective workflow.

12· Contribute to improving the quality of services by monitoring field challenges, providing technical feedback, proposing appropriate solutions, and following up on the implementation of corrective actions when needed.


Qualifications & Experience:

·         University degree in Counselling or Psychology

·         Experience in practicing psychotherapy as well as experience in supervising MHPSS teams

·         At least 2-year experience in supervising a team and having at least 3-years’ experience in MHPSS.

·        Arabic Language is a must.

·        high level of supervision skills. 

.        Good knowledge of therapeutic techniques such as (CBT. EMDR .NET…etc).

.        Having a good background on protection and general health subjects.

.        Experience in dealing with severe and complicated MHPSS cases.

.        Being a certified trainer in many MHPSS related subjects.

.        Having good proficiency in using e-mails and MS office programs.

.        Has knowledge of IACS MHPSS Guidelines

.        Basic skills training - CBT -NET -EMDR  training courses - PM+ - PFA – suicide prevention – supervision training
