Background:
Under the Early Recovery and Livelihoods (ERL) program, the organization is implementing a multi-sectoral project across Damascus, Homs, Hama, and Rural Damascus. The initiative supports social cohesion, peacebuilding, local governance, basic services rehabilitation, and community-led development, in close collaboration with community-based organizations (CBOs), local authorities, and affected populations.
General Purpose of the Position:
The Project Assistant will support the implementation of project activities in their respective locations focusing on coordination with stakeholders, community engagement, and daily follow-up on activities related to WASH, community infrastructure, governance initiatives, and social cohesion.
They will play a key role in community mobilization, data collection, field monitoring, logistics coordination, and reporting. The Project Assistant will closely collaborate with the Project Officer and Project Coordinator to ensure effective and timely implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
· Support daily field implementation of project activities, including infrastructure rehabilitation, WASH services, and social cohesion actions.
· Facilitate community mobilization and engagement processes, ensuring inclusive participation of women, youth, and vulnerable groups.
· Coordinate with local councils, service providers, CBOs, and relevant stakeholders under the guidance of the Project Officer.
· Assist in beneficiary identification and verification processes using transparent, vulnerability-based criteria.
· Monitor activity progress and report on delays, issues, or feedback from the field.
· Prepare and collect documentation (attendance sheets, photos, beneficiary lists, delivery confirmations, etc.) required for project records.
· Support the organization and delivery of field trainings, awareness sessions, and public events in coordination with technical teams.
· Contribute to the development of weekly and monthly activity reports.
· Ensure compliance with organization’s protection, safeguarding, and accountability standards.
· Report any protection concerns or risks observed during field activities.
· Participate in needs assessments, post-activity surveys, and other MEAL processes as needed.
· Assist in logistics and procurement follow-up in coordination with the operations team.
Qualifications & Experience:
· A university degree in social sciences, civil engineering, development, or a related field.
· At least 1-2 years of experience in implementing humanitarian or development projects, preferably in WASH, ERL, community mobilization, or protection sectors.
· Experience in working with or through local councils, CBOs, or local governance structures is preferred.
· Familiarity with the local dynamics in Damascus, Rural Damascus, Hama and Homs governorates.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Fluent in Arabic; basic knowledge of English is a plus.

الغرض العام من الوظيفة:
سيقوم مساعد المشروع بدعم تنفيذ أنشطة المشروع في الموقع المحدد مع التركيز على التنسيق مع أصحاب المصلحة، وتعبئة المجتمع، والمتابعة اليومية للأنشطة المتعلقة بقطاع المياه والإصحاح، والبنية التحتية المجتمعية، ومبادرات الحوكمة، والتماسك الاجتماعي.
وسيلعب دوراً رئيسياً في تعبئة المجتمع، وجمع البيانات، ورصد الأنشطة ميدانياً، وتنسيق الخدمات اللوجستية، والمساهمة في إعداد التقارير. وسيعمل بشكل وثيق مع ضابط المشروع ومنسق المشروع لضمان التنفيذ الفعال وفي الوقت المناسب.
المهام والمسؤوليات الأساسية:
· دعم تنفيذ الأنشطة الميدانية اليومية للمشروع، بما في ذلك تأهيل البنية التحتية، وخدمات المياه والإصحاح، وأنشطة التماسك الاجتماعي.
· تسهيل عمليات تعبئة المجتمع والمشاركة المجتمعية، وضمان إشراك النساء، والشباب، والفئات الضعيفة.
· التنسيق مع المجالس المحلية، ومزودي الخدمات، ومنظمات المجتمع المحلي، وأصحاب المصلحة الآخرين تحت إشراف ضابط المشروع.
· المساهمة في عمليات تحديد المستفيدين والتحقق منهم باستخدام معايير شفافة قائمة على درجة الضعف.
· مراقبة تقدم الأنشطة والإبلاغ عن أي تأخير أو مشكلات أو ملاحظات ميدانية.
· تجهيز وجمع الوثائق المطلوبة مثل جداول الحضور، الصور، قوائم المستفيدين، تأكيدات التسليم، وغيرها.
· دعم تنظيم وتنفيذ التدريبات الميدانية، وجلسات التوعية، والفعاليات العامة بالتنسيق مع الفرق الفنية.
· المساهمة في إعداد تقارير الأنشطة الأسبوعية والشهرية.
· ضمان الالتزام بمعايير الحماية، والسلامة، والمساءلة المعتمدة لدى المنظمة.
· الإبلاغ عن أي مخاطر أو شواغل متعلقة بالحماية يتم ملاحظتها أثناء الأنشطة.
· المشاركة في تقييمات الاحتياج، واستطلاعات ما بعد النشاط، والأنشطة الخاصة بالمتابعة والتقييم حسب الحاجة.
· المساعدة في المتابعة اللوجستية والمشتريات بالتنسيق مع فريق العمليات.
المؤهلات والخبرة المطلوبة:
· شهادة جامعية في العلوم الاجتماعية، أو الهندسة المدنية، أو التنمية، أو أي مجال ذي صلة.
· خبرة عملية لا تقل عن 1-2 سنة في تنفيذ المشاريع الإنسانية أو التنموية، ويفضل أن تكون في قطاعات المياه والإصحاح، الإنعاش المبكر، تعبئة المجتمع، أو الحماية.
· خبرة سابقة في العمل مع المجالس المحلية أو منظمات المجتمع المحلي أو هياكل الحكم المحلي تُعد ميزة إضافية.
· إلمام بالسياق المحلي في محافظات دمشق، ريف دمشق، حماة، وحمص.
· مهارات تواصل عالية وقدرة على التعامل مع مختلف الفئات.
· القدرة على العمل بشكل مستقل وإدارة مهام متعددة في الوقت ذاته.
· إتقان اللغة العربية؛ ومعرفة أساسية باللغة الإنجليزية تُعد ميزة.
