Job Purpose:
The Photographer & Video Editor (Media Officer) is responsible for capturing and producing
high-quality visual content that documents Orange’s field activities and projects. The position
involves both filming and editing humanitarian stories, success stories, and digital content
that reflect the organization’s mission and identity. The officer will work closely with the
Media and Programs teams to plan, execute, and deliver impactful visual materials optimized
for various platforms.
Duties, and competencies:
• Conduct professional field photography and videography sessions documenting
Orange’s projects and activities.
• Operate professional cameras and related equipment, ensuring proper lighting,
framing, and technical settings.
• Produce creative and engaging short videos and Reels for social media platforms.
• Apply innovative ideas and digital trends in video production to enhance storytelling
and audience engagement.
• Edit videos professionally, including shot selection, sequencing, text overlays, sound
design, and visual effects.
• Ensure that all produced materials align with Orange’s visual identity and
communication standards.
• Archive and organize all visual materials in an accessible and structured media
library.
• Coordinate with the Media and Program teams to identify story angles and content
priorities.
• Ensure adherence to ethical standards, safety measures, and data protection
protocols during fieldwork.
• Perform any other related tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements (essential):
o Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and other relevant video
editing tools.
o Strong storytelling ability and creativity in visual content production.o Solid knowledge of professional camera settings, lighting, and framing
techniques.
o Experience producing content for digital and social media (Reels, Shorts,
etc.).
o Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in media archiving.
o Ability to work under pressure and travel within the area of operation.
o Team-oriented mindset, creativity, and commitment to Orange’s
humanitarian values.
• Language:
Native Arabic speaker.
Good command of English (reading, writing, and speaking).
• IT Skills:
Proficiency in MS Office and media production tools (Proficient in Adobe
Premiere Pro and good in Adobe Photoshop), and familiarity with social media
analytics platforms.
