General Description of the Organization:


Orange is a non-governmental civil society organization devoted to alleviating the suffering and improving the sustainability mechanisms of the conflict-affected population. Since its establishment, Orange has partnered directly with affected Syrian populations, delivering programs spanning sectors, including humanitarian and development programs in the Early Recovery and Livelihoods, Food Security and agriculture, Education and Protection, WASH, and Shelter, in addition to long-term impact interventions focusing on the economic empowerment and the local value chains improvements to enable targeted communities to improve their living practices and their sustainable mechanisms. Orange collaborates with various national and international non-governmental organizations, as well as local initiatives, to adopt a community-based approach that improves the response’s impact on the humanitarian crisis and provides sustainable and alternative solutions.


Job Purpose:


The Grants and Partnerships Officer will support the implementation of Orange’s partnership and grant portfolio in Syria. This includes maintaining communication with local partners and International and/or national donors, supporting proposal development, ensuring compliance with donor requirements, and contributing to capacity building initiatives. The Officer will work closely with relevant departments to ensure effective and timely communication and reporting, and will support efforts to maintain high-quality partnerships and funding opportunities.

Duties, objectives, and competencies: 

1. Partnerships and Coordination o Maintain the day-to-day communication with partners’/ Donors’ management team and stay in regular contact with them, and Lead partnerships with Syrian NGOs, INGOs and relevant service providers. o Assist in building and maintaining effective partnerships with local NGOs, INGOs, and service providers. o Support coordination with local authorities, UN agencies, and clusters to facilitate project implementation and partnership development. o Attend relevant cluster meetings, workshops, and capacity building events to represent Orange and gather updates on sectoral priorities. o Contribute to assessing partner capacity and identifying areas for improvement. 2. Grant Support and Compliance o Assist in tracking grant deliverables, timelines, and compliance requirements in coordination with the relevant teams. o Maintain and update tools such as donor reporting schedules, proposal calendars, and compliance checklists. o Support the preparation and review of donor reports to ensure quality, accuracy, and timely submission. o Coordinate with finance and program teams to gather needed information and documentation for proposals and reports. o Help ensure that donor requirements are communicated and integrated into project design and implementation. o Work closely with CEO and program director to maintain high quality and up-to-date external communications and publications about Orange projects and achievements

3. Proposal and Report Development o Support the development of proposals, concept notes, and applications for ongoing and new funding opportunities. o Work with technical and field teams to collect inputs for proposals and reports. o Assist in editing and formatting proposal documents and preparing supporting materials in line with donor requirements. o Contribute to identifying funding opportunities through local and regional networks. o Liaise with in-country donors and key government agencies, providing regular updates on projects activities as deemed necessary. o Represent Orange to clusters and working groups and other stakeholders including NGOs and INGOs to share experience and keep updated for grants. 4. Capacity Building and Learning o Regularly conduct capacity assessments, develop performance improvement plans, and support the integration of more responsive systems, tools, or protocols. o Support implementation of training sessions and mentoring related to partnership development and grant management. o Help document lessons learned and good practices for improving partnership effectiveness. Requirements: 1- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Development, Political Science, or a related field. 2- At least 5 years of relevant experience with an NGO or INGO, preferably in grants, partnerships, or donor relations. 3- Experience with institutional donors (i.e. DFID, OFDA, ECHO, GIZ, UN agencies) 4- Strong communication skills, including the ability to coordinate with multiple parties and external stakeholders 5- Good understanding of donor compliance and proposal/reporting processes. 6- Good English and Arabic language skills (spoken and written). 7- Experience of training and capacity building 8- Experience in report-writing and proposal development 9- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work well in a team environment. 10- Strong computer literacy, especially in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 11- Sound judgement and ability to make impartial recommendations
